Sire Evaluation

We entered O’Brien 190455 into the Sire Evaluation at Meningie. The results are nearly finalised, keep your eye out for them in the next few weeks, but here are some his results:

  • just below average for FD
  • top for CV, top 4 for Staple Strength
  • average for staple length, top for wwt (weaning weight)
  • top for PWT (post weaning weight)
  • top 3 for YWT (yearling weight) (some proven fast growth animals in the trial)
  • average for EMD and fat,

and looks like his progeny will somewhere near top 3 for wool cut, but disappointingly his classing results were only just above average for classed tops and just below average for classed culls.
